The model D7 door activator is a motion sensor designed to trigger
the operation of all types of automatic doors. An installer's dream,
the D7 is unmatched in ease of mounting and pattern setup. It is versatile
and can be used in both directions of travel on sliding or revolving
doors, or on the approach side of a swinging door. It is housed in a
compact, rugged metal enclosure and mounts easily to the header over
the center of the entranceway.
Key Benefits
 |
Motion
caused by a person moving in the D7's pattern is immediately detected
by the sensor. It accomplishes this through a low power yet broad
microwave beam that is volumetric throughout its pattern; any motion
will send a shifted signal back to the detector, causing a relay
within the unit to trip. This relay contacts the door control and
initiates the open cycle of the door.
|
 |
The D7
is much more cost-effective to install and maintain than floor mat
switches simply because it is mounted overhead. It is not affected
by freezing water, salt, or other chemicals.
|
 |
The D7
can use one of two antennas, resulting in two different pattern
sizes (see reverse side for patterns). Both patterns are fully adjustable
and can be reduced in size proportionally to the required dimensions.
|
 |
Reliability
is the hallmark of the D7 door activator. Quality construction and
solid-state circuitry make it so. Its small size and trim appearance
make the D7 ideal for any automatic entranceway. |

1.4 The D7 shall be installed on the door header and in a centered
position to the clear opening (can be concealed within ceiling).
1.5 Movement detected within the unit's microwave field shall be transmitted
to the electronic controls for door actuation.
1.6 The microwave pattern shall not be affected by temperature or humidity
changes.
1.7 The detection pattern shall be adjustable without removing the
enclosure cover.
1.8 One red LED shall indicate an active relay status.
1.9 The two door beams (DB-11) installed in the door jambs 21"
& 36" above the floor shall prevent the door from closing until
traffic has cleared.
